💬 What diners say
“Amazing food and quick service.”
“Breaking News: Man visits Makeba for dinner. Accidentally signs up for future visits. The plan was simple. Walk in. Eat. Leave. Instead, I found myself trapped in what can only be described as a highly sophisticated culinary conspiracy. You see, the people behind House of Makeba have designed their menu with what appears to be a complete and utter fear of commitment. Mexican? Present. Italian? Absolutely. Asian? Naturally. Indian? Why not. And just when you've convinced yourself what you're ordering, another page appears and suddenly you're questioning all your life choices. This evening's adventure included a Cranberry Apple Ginger Mocktail served in a goblet large enough to host diplomatic discussions, a comforting plate of Tex-Mex Rice, and Truffle Fries that disappeared so quickly I'm considering opening an investigation. The real magic of Makeba, though, isn't any single dish. It's the feeling that you've missed out on twenty other things you wanted to order. Every table around you seems to be eating something that makes you turn your head and think, "Wait... what's that?" By the time the bill arrives, you've already mentally planned your next visit. Not because you're still hungry. Because the menu has successfully convinced you that your current visit was merely a reconnaissance mission. And that's Makeba's magic spell. You don't leave feeling you've finished exploring the restaurant. You leave feeling you've barely started. I'll definitely be back. Strictly for research purposes, of course.”
